Simple Sophistication

Someone recently asked me how I would describe my own style, and I realized I have no concrete vision for what I want to consistently express. While I have experimented with the eclectic Bohemian and the edgy rock 'n' roll, I tend to gravitate to the looks that are simply sophisticated with delicate feminine details. I find inspiration in this easy navy dress (a color that I am obsessed with) with the soft yet structured ruffles. I love the way she elevates the outfit with the unexpected patterned tights and cream platform shoes. This is a look I wouldn't mind sporting everyday, so what do you think ... how does "simple sophistication" fit for the trend that Arkansas can realistically and successfully live by?

BTW, the dress is from Target and the shoes are Simply Vera from Kohl's. Sophisticated and attainable!

  1. I love this dress! Did the belt come with the dress? Did you get the dress this season? I always admire shift dresses but never buy them because I feel they make me look large. You have inspired me to try adding a belt to the dress. BTW I found you through http://cupcakesandcashmere.com site. Thanks for including a link to your site!
